Flowerbank Nursery Willow Structure

East Ayrshire Woodlands were asked to create a willow structure for the grounds of Flowerbank Nursery in Kilmarnock.

The original design incorporated longer tunnels but had to be modified with the amount of space on offer in respect of the
expected willow growth.

During the summer of 2011, we dug out the trench around the stems and filled it with bark chippings to surpress any grass
growth to inhibit the structure.
