Dunlop Millenium Woodland Nature Park
The
Millenium Woodland Nature Park lies about 200m to the south-west of Dunlop,
between Straightbow Bridge and Templehouse.
Parking:
Parking (1 car) is very limited by the access gates. It may be more appropriate
to
park in the village and walk to the site.
Access: Informal access is available throughout the site.
Within short walking distance: The Wee Glen
Description:
The site is composed of grassland with scattered broadleaf trees around a central
pond. There is a network of informal grass footpaths between the blocks of trees
and to a
commemorative cairn on top of a small craig. Recently replaced interpretation
panels show
the location of trees which have been sponsored / adopted by local people or
as a memorial tree.
