2019/20 Willow season expected to open December 2019. |
Start date is subject to
weather conditions, as the crop is only ready for harvest when all leaves have
dropped and the willow is in its dormant stage. A spell of cold weather is best
to speed this process up
but often the season starts as late as December, due to the mild weather.
New season dried basketmaking willow bundles should be available from early June (subject to availability)
